Opportunity is Knocking!!!
Now is the time, try Thirty One for 30 Days, dont like it? Quit and Keep $250 in commission, $300 free start kit products and $300 free startwell products.
But if you want to join a company that allows you to work around your own schedule, your kids being sick, your husband working, taking care of your parents, carpools, PTA meetings, soccer, and still make a descent living, this is the company for you.
I originally joined for the product and discount. Boy, I didn't know what I was getting into. This company has given me more than $1000 in products free since joining last February and more discounts than I can name. I honestly didnt know if I could do it when I first began. I wanted to be sucessful but with my husbands schedule and working 40 hours a week myself, I kept asking when will I find the time? And will I feel guilty for leaving my girls? Well I have found the time, on weekends and doing a few catalog/online parties. I dont feel as guilty as I would if I knew that the 3 or 4 hours I am away wouldnt be helping my family. An average $500 party, I make $125 commission, this commission has been paying off CC debt. I am so thankful for it.
We are preparing to sell, preparing to build, and this company is just what we needed to help get everything on track. I have a wonderful team of ladies and cannot wait to expand to include a little bit of everyone and to connect with my team members. So want to join the Bowers Bombshells and see what all the fuss is about??
Go to www.mythirtyone.com/kmbowers and join. Join between Feb 16 and April 1st during the OJ program and after 30 days and $1000 in sales, get your enrollment fee back!

Leadership and my WHY?!
I have been taking a leadership training, nothing too major, just something that my team offered and I joined. I was excited to receive the email asking me to participate. I have lots of leadership roles in my short career time and being given another opportunity is exciting. One of the things we talked about alot was building and taking care of the team our on way and which way would it be. I have to say my team is relaxed, I dont try to tell them how to run their business, however I do give them ideas, share what I am doing with my business, and try to reach out to them to make sure everything is running smoothly.
It's not my business, just my team. I am here to listen, guide, share, and talk to them. I am not sure to tell them they are doing something wrong or should do it another way. The guidance we have received from our own leader, our Director, has been wonderful. I want to lead by example, I do not want to micromanage or try to put someone down. My team is awesome, one is a great lady I met in May and the other is a co worker that has become a really good friend. They are growing their own teams and I cannot wait to watch them in their roles as leaders.
During our leadership training, we speak alot about our WHY? Why did we want to join Thirty One? Why did we decide to sell totes, purses, bags? Why did we contact the person we did to sign up?
Well when I first started it was really to try to help things at home, my husband has always worked 2 jobs for extra income and had started thinking about a 3rd. This full time position allows him the possibility of that but I didnt want him gone all week long just to have some extra and try to pay our debt down all on his own. I work full time myself and have the girls to worry about. But when speaking and emailing my director Thirty One seemed like a good fit. I make my own hours, choose the days that I can work, choose how much I want to put into it, and get to be home still most evenings with the girls. Also I LOVE the bags, I have alot of them now and my collection keeps growing. (Learn how in my next post!!)
So my WHY started out to pay off debt, then in early April, we decided all my commission would go to our beach fund. So we went to the beach with more than enough because of my parties. Then it went back to debt and now it is on to Christmas. We will be using my commission and Kenny's other jobs to pay for a CASH ONLY Christmas. I so hope that this is realized and happens. I believe it can. I believe that it will.
Now I am counting down until my November parties. I am so excited for them. And once all my commission is paid, I will be shopping for all the wonderful people in my life. So excited for the holidays. So my WHY changes every couple of months, it just depends on my families extra needs, but it comes through, it happens, and my family is always taken care of.

(personalized with "Hodgen Family" as it will be my multi-use family tote)
This past weekend the kids and I went on a road trip 2 1/2 hrs away while daddy had to work. I brought our tote along with us for the ride. I threw in some notebooks, color books, markers, snacks, diaper wipes, brush, Nintendo DSI's, among other things and had tons of room to spare. I happily thought to myself wow this is so much bigger then I expected. I was extremely impressed not only with the size but with the ease of carrying, it wasn't big and bulky, and the bag itself didn't fold in.

A classic favorite! It’s great for taking lunch on the go. Whether you need to keep your food cool or warm, it does the job. Great for school or work lunch, or for taking to a ballgame. Also great as a baby bag to keep bottles cold. Measures approx: 9.5”H x 14”W x 4.5”D
The Thermal Tote, is great for everyday lunches at work, school, or long drives. I was able to fit 7 bottles of water, or 4 cans of pop with 2 bottles water and string cheese. The options are endless with what you can fit in side. It is Thermal for a reason and as you see in the picture above it is completely lined on the inside to keep things cold! My Very First Open House with Thirty One Gifts
I have been working part time with Thirty One since February, I have to admit I have been having a blast. I am putting a lot of my creativity and business background into it. It’s nice to look at the whole picture and break it down to try to make it work better. I love my full time job and it is a hard job, you have to think what you are doing and why you are doing it but Thirty One has allowed me to go outside the box a little.
This past weekend, we closed our spring catalog and opened our summer catalog. I took the opportunity given to me by my super Direction, Lizzy, to have a Last Chance/First Glance party. This would give people the opportunity to order from our Spring catalog one more time and then preview the summer catalog. I had about 10 guests, which I thought was awesome for the first time. The weather was a little crappy so I know why a few that RSVPed probably didn’t come. Driving in that rain on/rain off kind of weather isn’t fun.
By the middle of the afternoon both girls had napped and we had a house full. There were kids running around playing and us girls in the living room chatting while looking at the new catalog and I answered all questions as best I could.
I am proud to say I think it was a success. Not only did I collect a lot of sales but I got to show off the new book and talk with family and friends about our upcoming season. The only disappointing part was that I did not book one party. I thought I would. However I am hoping that after people receive their products they will rethink and contact me for a party.
I am blessed to have this come when it did. It is allowing me to do what I think I do best, mingle and socialize. I love meeting new people and chatting it up. I have a few parties in May and cannot wait to meet their guests. Also it is allowing us to save up a little more to take with us on vacation and after vacation I will be putting as much towards our debt as I can. I have seen what this product can do for your family and the rewards are endless. I hope to continue doing well and booking parties to get me out of the house and mingling while having a great time.

Thirty One
So I became a consultant in February. It has been a lot of fun so far. I have had 2 successful parties. I still have lots to learn but it is all coming together. I had been looking for something for about a year now to sell to make a little extra to put in our savings account. Something I could do but still be a MOM. That is my first role and most important. I wanted something that wasn’t really a ‘part time job’ that I had set hours and had to spend a lot of time away from my girls. My sister in law chose to sell ‘Scentsy’, a flameless candle company that is great but I wasn’t really into it. I am more of an organizer than a candle person. I wanted to choose something I could be passionate about. Why should I sell something to someone if I don’t even care all that much about it? For Christmas I received a bag from my inlaws, it was a Thirty One bag. I didn’t think much about it. I love totes, can always find a use for them. When I opened it up and saw how big it was, I decided I was going to use this for the girls diaper bag. The Organizing Utility Tote is so big, I don’t exactly how much I can fit it in but trust me I have had it full and weighed down and it has held up.
I thought this is the kind of product I would like to be involved with. I did a little research and found out about the company a little and became more impressed. Here’s why:
The name Thirty-One comes from the verses of Proverbs 31. These words may be thousands of years old, but I am constantly amazed by how today's modern woman can relate to them. The Proverbs 31 woman is dearly loved and respected by her family, yet she is an individual in her own right. She manages the home and property with kindness and integrity. Her savvy business skills are partly brought about by her desire to serve others, to do good deeds and prosper.
I had originally decided to not begin until May when Hailey would be 6 to 7 months old and a little easier if someone other than Kenny would have to watch while I did a party or had to meet with someone. I did a party, on the advice of the person that is now my director just to see if I even wanted to do it. Well off of my launch party, I booked a few parties, but I wouldn’t get these bookings unless I was a consultant, so that is how I ended up starting in February instead of May.
I have had fun with it. I am a people person. I don’t mind getting up in front of people; I like meeting new people and having a good time. So now I am finding new ways of booking parties, home or catalog and meeting new contacts. I would love to eventually be doing vending events and fundraisers.
It’s a new experience and I am taking it all in. Hoping to keep the ball running and to do at least one party a month.
