Release with Review:: Good Times by Jiffy Kate

Release Date: May 28

Finley Lawson and Georgette Taylor have been best friends since high school. Even though they’re from opposite sides of the tracks, they found common ground in their mutual love of the arts and the desire to prove themselves.

They were everything to one other, including being each other’s firsts.

Finley assumed they’d be together forever.

Georgette had other plans.

Fast forward five years, Finn and Jette have both moved to New Orleans, unbeknownst to each other, still trying to find their place in the world. They’re going to pick back up right where they left off, right? Well, it’s not that easy.

Finley has questions, as well as, some pent-up anger and resentment from Jette ghosting him five years ago.

And Georgette has a boyfriend.

What hasn’t changed is their deep connection and understanding of each other. Friends are what they agree to be, but some romances deserve a second chance and fate might have other plans.

Review:
This was a sweet second chance romance. We meet Finn and Jette and their back story. High school sweethearts that didn't make the cut. Should they have held on to what developed? Maybe..but 18 year olds aren't always the smartest. Now 5 years later they are thrown together and Jette is just as beautiful. She is also attached to someone else. I liked that Finn didn't give up and they were so good for each other. It was a nice read.

I really enjoyed this book. It showed up on my facebook ads for days and I just felt a calling. So I pushed 'sample'. Once the sample was read, I knew I had to continue reading. Molly and Noah's story was awesome. I fell so in love with these two. I couldn't put it down. Noah wants to put 1000% into his football career, he's never let anyone distract him. When Molly and Noah are reunited, he isn't the nicest and Molly just wants to make sure her career continues. I loved the chemistry between them, their friendship that turns explosive. This was my first book from Karla and I have to say I am impressed, definitely will be looking for any ARC opportunities and/or buying the next good story.

Now an Amazon Top 100 Bestseller!

If you've ever seen your teenage crush ten years later, and he turns out to be a complete jerk, then you know how Molly Ward feels.

The last time she saw Noah Griffin was the regrettable day that she decided to climb into his bedroom window and turn her unrequited crush into something more.

That day was bad enough, but things are about to get worse.

Noah has become one of the best football players in the country, and he’s just landed on Molly’s front step.

As a new addition to the Washington Wolves roster, Noah's presence is the key to Molly’s promotion in the front office.

The problem is, Noah wants nothing to do with Molly, and his surly attitude is making her job very difficult.

But he's got another thing coming if he thinks Molly will be intimidated by one grumpy football player, no matter how much he hates being around her.

Once these two go head to head, their mutual dislike explodes into undeniable chemistry. But with what they have at stake, they just might detonate everything else along with it.

Blurb:

Have you ever hit rock bottom? I embarrassingly have. It’s why I’m wearing my girl's decorative scarf over my head, clutching her lady drink to my chest, and singing ever so softly to Joni Mitchell while swaying back and forth. This is what therapists refer to as LOSING IT. Oldest story in the book: boy meets girl, boy falls for girl, boy screws up MASSIVELY, girl tells boy to suffocate in the fruits of his very own unborn children. Heard it before? I'm sure you have. So what's so different about this story? Well, it's about me, The Modern Gentleman, New York City's top advice columnist, and my rather ungraceful downfall from my pristinely polished pedestal. It's about a girl I met who threw all my proven theories to the wind and left me awkward, needy, and absolutely head-over-wingtipped shoes in love. This is a story about June Lacy and how she single-handedly dismantled The Modern Gentleman.

PROLOGUE

Dear Gents, See that remote in your hand? Yeah, the one that’s covered in pizza sauce and last night’s Buffalo wings? I want you to take a good look at it. Do you have it memorized? Good, now bend at the waist, set it on the coffee table, and stand up. Don’t you dare look at that remote again, don’t even glance at it. And the Xbox that’s calling your name, go ahead and forget about that as well, because guess what? You’re starting a new journey and it doesn’t include television, video games, or high-fiving over a bubbly belch from the bowels of your intestinal tract. Forget everything you’ve ever known about being a man, forget the hall passes you have for being a man, and forget every natural instinct you carry inside your bones. Because I’m here to refine you, replenish your knowledge on the male species, and turn you into a modern gentleman: a well-respected, polished, and confident individual with an epic sex appeal and killer style that will woo any female with a simple flash of your honest charm. Stick with me, gents. I’m starting a revolution and it begins with you. Sincerely, The Modern Gentleman

Release with Review:: Southern Storm by Natasha Madison

Release Date: May 19

Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.

Savannah
I’m the one who broke up the golden couple. The woman people still whisper about, point at, and give dirty looks to.

Did I sleep with the prom king? No. Did I sleep with the town's golden boy on vacation from college? Yes.

Did I believe that he was going to marry me? Wholeheartedly.

Did he? Not even close. He got engaged right in front of me and then his father threw two hundred dollars at me and told me to take the trash out.

So, I raised my son in a town where people love him because they think that his father is the sheriff.

It was going great, everything was working out till my lie got out.

Beau
I was getting ready to take over the mayoral office from my father, who was my hero.

Until I heard the secret he hoped would stay buried forever.

My brother has a son, not just any son but a son with the woman who was my best friend.

The woman I secretly have loved from the moment she stood up to me and broke my nose in kindergarten.

I need to protect her and in order to do that, we need to get married.

Too bad her nightmare is my dream come true.

Review:
Is it terrible to hold a grudge against a fictional character? I might be doing that. I absolutely loved this story. I loved that Beau finally got his head out of his butt and went for it with Savannah. Their relationship is years in the making. They find out just how dirty the town is once all their dirty laundry is out in the open. Thankfully their group of friends is there for them. I just didn't love it as much as I should, I know I should be head over heels for this couple, but in the back of mind I'm thinking this hussy kept Jacob from Kallie, has Ethan thinking Jacob is his dad, and uprooted so many lives. I know she did this feeling terrible, I know she did this to protect her child and I would probably do the same, however I just can't forgive her yet. Hopefully Southern Sunrise will help change my mind about her.

Meet Natasha Madison

When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals.

You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips.

It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...

Review:

I had a really hard time with this one only because of the number of chances Declan received. Poor Sydney stays at a farm and holds back her own career with hopes that he will change his mind and come running home for her. He doesn't. He is made to spend 6 months on his farm because of his fathers will. I did like that once he lets her down for the last time, she finally puts her foot down. She finally questions him and why he is doing everything. Up until this point, he continually told her no marriage, no babies, no future and she kept trying. That to me is a big heart that doesn't give up. I wouldn't have allowed him to control me for that long. It was just a lot of him disappointing her, her crawling back into his bed, and then Sydney becoming angry and shouting. I was happy to see bits of Sean's story that will be coming soon, that should be super interesting considering his best friend loves another.

Tank: Did you SEE that beautiful goal???
Bess: Yes baby. That’s why I sent you a text last night that said NICE GOAL BABY in shouty caps. Didn’t it come through?
Tank: It came through. But I just wanted to talk about it some more. Because did you SEE that beautiful goal? When Castro accidentally passed to nowhere but I got my stick on it anyway? And before you could say TANK IS A STUD, I put it in?
Bess: Gorgeous goal, hot stuff! I may have spilled my beer I was so excited.
Tank: Where did you spill it?
Bess: All over my naked breasts.
Tank: Really?
Bess: No. But the purpose of this conversation is stroking your ego, right? So I thought I’d just roll with it.
Tank: LOL! I’ll take it.
Bess: :)
Tank: You were right, by the way. After the game, Castro told me I had to get the Brooklyn Bridge tattooed across my ass.
Bess: Well that’s a good sign. If they’re pranking you it means they like you now.
Tank: I got a goal. They like that at least.
Bess: What did you tell Castro about the tattoo?
Tank: I said, sure, buddy!
Tank: And, get this, I told him that if we connect on ten goals this season—in either direction—not only will I put the bridge on one ass cheek, I’ll put his face on the other.
Bess: OMG. What did he say to that?
Tank: “Let’s not get carried away.” Honestly he looked terrified, which was the point. I told him I was just crazy enough to do it. And then I wondered aloud what the blogs would write about that.
Bess: You are an evil man.
Tank: Never bullshit a bullshitter. But enough about me. Let’s talk about you. Specifically, I need to know if you’re naked right now. Please say yes.
Bess: I’m sitting in my office waiting for a conference call. So that would be no.
Tank: Lie to me, baby! I miss you.
Bess: There’s no need to lie. The next time we’re in the same zip code again, you can make your dreams come true.
Tank: Now there’s a plan I can get behind. Literally.
Bess: Indeed. Got to go now! Call starts in two minutes.
Tank: One more thing, hot stuff. Have you seen Henry again? I keep leaving voicemails, asking when I can visit. He texts me back, but I can’t get a phone call. I just want to talk to the old codger.
Bess: Same. I sent him a present but when I asked to visit he shot me down. Now go beat Florida.
Tank: Maybe you should send me a few motivational photographs to improve my game.
Bess: A good workout followed by a protein drink and then a nap would improve it more.
Tank: Says you.
Bess: I am a professional. I know things. Get some rest! I’ll be watching tonight.

Review:
This was a really sweet and endearing story about a man with a heart of gold. When it all came to light and we are let in on all secrets, it amazes me how much this man thinks of others. I also loved that we were brought a subject that isnt talked about, isnt mentioned. Bess is just the right woman Tank needs. She is strong and confident and enough for him to spill his guts and see if she can work with what he has. I couldnt put it down, but that is nothing new with Sarina's books. The book just flows.

Review:
Aaron and Clarke made me swoon. Man oh Man, how I loved these two together. He was everything that you would expect out of one of Sawyer's leading men. He was protective and kind. He was well read and funny. He instantly was attracted to Clarke. He made a bet and won. I loved that she didnt back down and continued opening up to Aaron. I loved that his friends made fun of him for falling and also let him open his heart to them about her. It was amazing as always and I fell in love with this couple and others that were introduced to us in this story. There were so many openings and I am just begging that she's writing as fast as her fingers will allow her to have those stories.

Review:
I couldn't get into it. I couldn't fall in love and I really wanted to. The blurb was so awesome and I love a good student and coach romance but there were so many issues that didn't have anything to do with the story. It was slow and I never felt like the characters connected. I don't even know how they could fall in love and I skipped so many parts to get to the end I couldn't tell you. I read until about 30% before going to the end to see if they actually get together.
