Did I say collide? No, I didn’t just collide, I lingered. How could I not? The man smelled like a dream, felt like heaven, and looked like a Greek god. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought my best friend wished him for me when she helped me blow out my candles. She was all about me finding Mr. Right, except I’d never been lucky in love . . . nor was I looking.

And despite all of his wonderful attributes, Lucas wasn’t my type. So when he asked for my number, I declined. Why? Because I knew he had cleat chasers and numerous athletic supporters at his beck and call. Totally not my scene. Instead, I decided to chalk our encounter up to a perfect ending to a perfectly messed-up day.

Thinking I’d never see him again, I was shocked when he popped into my store to ask me out on a date. To say I was thrown a bit off - kilter would be an understatement. Maybe that was why I eventually accepted. Or it could be because I knew my best friend would disown me if I kept turning him down. Not to mention, the man had enough charm to fill my boutique and then some.

Finally happy, I figured my luck had changed. Maybe Lucas Donovan was my Mr. Right. But then my past slammed into my present. And all I wondered was what that meant for our future.

Just when you think Harley and Lucas are going to be happy and together a twist is brought to our attention. My heart sank when Harley said goodbye to Lucas but she has such a great reason and was only looking for his heart and his family. It was noble, even if it broke her heart and mine in the process. These two were adorable and I loved them together.

This new series has so much goodness! I fell in love with the whole gang in this first book. I have to admit though that Craig might be a close 2nd to my favorite person in the book. He loves his daughter something fierce and when Dax describes him I just giggled. Bree and Dax are a lovable couple and after a lot of bumps they figure it out. They have so much to work through and it was such a fun ride watching them learn and discover each other.

C.A. Harms is an avid romance and mystery reader. She's always had a love for books, getting lost in writing and storytelling even as a young girl. She enjoys happy endings and HEA love stories.

She lives in Illinois and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She holds an addiction for Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha’s and KitKat when she should really be focusing on water and maybe a fruit or two to make herself feel less guilty, but that feeling quickly passes...thankfully.

She is easy going, fun, and although she may seem like one of the quiet ones at first, you just wait until she gets to know you better...that quietness changes, fast.

This was a very interesting read. It took me a few chapters to really get into it. River and Gage are two peas in a pod with that fierce personality and she is exactly what he wants and needs in a front lady for his MC. This story once I got into it, kept me hooked until the end.

Review:

Where has Kaci Rose been all my life? This is my first read in this series and I am seriously bummed I didn't start at the beginning. Gavin and Lauren's story was super sweet and I fell in love. Lauren has made a good life with all the hurtles she had. Gavin has been at war and is now blind, learning this new life, when a voice shakes him to the core. A voice of his past. I loved this group of people and how I just fell in life with them.
