Ryan and Rhodes are so good together. I loved this story. Ryan is down on her luck and just wants to forget. Rhodes always seems to be there to take care of her. So here they are in Las Vegas and Ryan is buzzed just enough Rhodes believes its time for her to go to her room. Their ride is definitely one I am glad I got to see and their love that grows, man it just makes the heart flutter. I loved that they both wouldn't admit they had caught feelings but the way they treated one another really showed what a love is all about. I was up at 3am reading this one, not able to put it down. I cannot wait for more from this series.

I loved watching these two figure out life. Joey gets a place to stay, Cole decides he can have a roommate. Cole is not really a relationship type of guy. Joey wants a solid, stable man. Watching these two become closer and fall was such a good ride.

Ivy and Ty was a fun story. They were high school sweethearts that had to break up quickly without much notice. Ty did not share with Ivy why he and his family were moving, only that they were. When she is in the tail end of planning his sister's wedding, he returns to town. Ivy freaks. I couldn't blame her. She has had so many first days, trying to still move on and here he is. He moves quickly back into her life, into her heart, and back into town. This story was just everything we would expect by the final book. We get to see the group of girls and how supportive they are for Ivy. It was a cute read. 

EXCERPT

The air shifted once we were alone. Ty stretched out his long legs, crossing them at the ankle, and then connected his hands behind his head, like he didn’t have a care in the world. His tee lifted just a bit and I tried not to let my gaze wander to the sliver of tanned abs that was on display, but I couldn’t help myself.

“So…” he said.

“So what?” I hissed, before opening my computer screen and pulling up the budget for Talia’s wedding. “Let’s get down to business.”

“Sure. Sounds good to me.”

I looked up to see him drinking me in. “Stop looking at me all smug and sex driven.”

“How does one look sex driven?” he said over his laughter.

“I don’t know, Ty. Maybe you should try looking in a mirror.”

“Come on, Ive. Stop this. Can’t we talk?”

“About the budget? Sure.” I kept my eyes trained on my screen.

He moved to his feet and came around my desk, and I swear I stopped breathing. “Fine. Let me look at the budget.” He stood behind me leaning over my chair and I squeezed my thighs together because holy hell, my lady bits do still work. Was it his scent? Was he shooting his pheromones at me or something?

“So, the total is at the bottom. Do you have issues with anything? These are the line items here,” my voice came out in a whisper, with a side of lust.

What in the hell.

You’re better than this Ivy.

“It all looks good to me.” He turned my chair, so I was facing him. “You look good. I’ve missed you something fierce.”

I narrowed my gaze and shoved back in my chair, my wheels making it easy to move away and put some much needed distance between me and the pheromone king.

“That ship has sailed, Ty. It sailed a long time ago when you disappeared from my life. So, if you don’t want to talk about the budget, then I am going to have to ask you to leave. Don’t make me call security.”

He barked out a laugh. “Why are you so nervous?”

“I’m not nervous. I’m annoyed. Can you not tell the difference, Mr. Country Star?”

He moved toward me, and his tongue swiped out and wet his bottom lip.

Halleluiah, mother of Mary, Lord have mercy, holy hell fire…this man would be the death of me.

“Have dinner with me tomorrow night. We can go to our favorite old place, Dean Taylors Steak House,” he said.

I gasped, let out a few appalled huffy breaths to make it clear that that was not happening. “You must be dreaming.”

“I do dream about you often.”

“I already have a date tomorrow. As a matter of fact, he and I are having dinner at Dean Taylors tomorrow night,” I said proudly as I moved to my feet and stepped further from him. I’d most definitely be taking Dr. Scotty up on his offer.

“Who is he?” he asked, and he looked so smug I wanted to slap the sexy right off his face.

“He’s a doctor. He’s opening his own veterinary practice here in town. It’s all very impressive.” I smiled and crossed my arms over my chest to calm my racing heart.

He moved closer. Invading my space once again. “What’s his name, Ive?”

“You smug bastard. His name is Dr. Scotty.” My back hit the wall and he was so close our noses were almost touching.

I couldn’t move. I was paralyzed by his gaze.

I Like To Write:: Have I Mastered the Art of Living? Probably Not.

Ever feel like this quote is a slap in the face. Like seriously, I know you can give and give and most of the time you don't even think about the 'expecting anything back' but dang it sometimes you want something back. I have always had a small circle and sometimes I think of making it even smaller. 

I just hate being felt like I am being taken advantage of or just not thought about. Its hard to balance how much you do for others when it just isn't brought back to you. It really is a bother when you think so much of others and when it comes down to it, you really aren't on their radar of being thought of from them. Make sense? Maybe not, I am rambling, but these thoughts just run through my head sometimes. I have been able to count on one person this past year out of the household. Thankfully we care about each others kids as our own and we make sure they are taken care of. We are checking on each other's mental health and doing little things that don't seem like much but mean a lot. 

I won't stop reaching out and helping, I won't stop offering, and I won't stop being me, but when did people just stop caring. Maybe they never cared and I am just getting it. I was taken advantage of hard one time and it just seems like I never learn. People have selfish natures, heck there are times I myself am very selfish, but I would never allow someone to keep doing for me without feeling like I should pay them back somehow, even with a simple Thank You. 

I don't know I am just over people. People who will take and take, and expect you to always be there to help but don't seem to see that sometimes you need some help also. But with the above quote, I will try to remember that I am the one that chooses to help, I am the one that doesn't say no, and I need to remember that I shouldn't expect anything in return. Just doing what is right in my heart is what I should be doing.

AHHHH...it was so good. Nick is battling a battle he might not be able to win. So much has been fought and so much has been left in his memories. Becca was sweet and sassy and I loved her. She is exactly what Nick needed at the time he needed her. I love reading the story of a beautiful couple that can't seem to get away from each other and just need to give in. This story was a beautiful one.

These were so good together. Joel was protective and everything we expect from the Until series. We see a woman who is down on her luck and a man who's only goal is to take care of her. This one was so good and I cannot wait for more.
