Release:: Play Maker by Piper Lawson

Play Maker by Piper Lawson is now live!

I chose a championship over love.

When Nova smashed her way into my hardened heart, she showed me there’s more to life than basketball.

She taught me patience and forgiveness. With her help, my Kodiak teammates became brothers instead of rivals. For the first time, I cared about more than a game.

But one mistake sent me crashing from all-star to rock bottom.

Broken inside and out, there’s no one to blame but myself.

I won’t let the people I love suffer for my mistakes, on or off the court. I’ll win back the brothers who trusted me, the city that backed me, and the woman I don’t want to live without.

Unless I’m too late.

I have one last shot. One last chance.

Countdown's on, and I’m playing for keeps.

Play Maker is the third and final book in the King of the Court series. Clay and Nova’s steamy, addictive grumpy sunshine sports romance begins in Game Changer and continues in Shot Taker.

I’m ancient for a hockey player. Broody as they come. I wasn’t always like that, I had love once, but it was ripped away in the blink of an eye. Now all I want in life is to play the game I love and to be left alone. Until I met the team’s new photographer. I did my best to avoid her. She was too young for me. There was just something about her that called to me. I’m not sure I can let go of my past, even if it means a future I never thought possible.

Review
Love love love this series and the stories are just getting better. Damien has had a rough time, losing his wife, he just wants to play hockey and go home. He likes hanging with the guys but no one has made him want to live life. Here comes a vibrant young woman who has taken life and ran with the opportunities. These two made my heart happy, they just worked well together. It was a wonderful story.

Review:
This very short read left me wanting more. This is the first of the series from me and I really enjoyed it. I wish there had been more detail and more happening but we still get an amazing story. Two people who found each other just when they needed it. The reunion was warming and I enjoyed that Detroit as badass as he is, also has a sweet heart.

Monica
She’s his.
Or she has been since her freshman year of college.
According to Monica Fields, no man will ever hold a candle to Christian Fox.
Too bad he’s completely unaware. Or is he?

Christian
Since meeting her, a sweet dairy farm girl has captivated Christian entirely.
But he’s a guy. And he’s the one who isn’t quite ready to be done sowing his wild oats.
Will he ever be?

In this game called love, sometimes chasing after a woman is just the wake-up call you need. But what if chasing her to her family’s farm and following her through a field scattered with cow patties in limited-edition white Nike Air Force 1s is the only way to catch her? And, when you finally do catch her, will she want you? Forever?

Review:
This story was a little hard. These two just are so back and forth with each other. No labels. Seriously, you are only with each other however if a label is talked about, it's like they go right back to ground zero. It was a wonderfully told story however the wishy washy and back and forth just didn't cut it for me. Christian kept disappearing, sweet one minute and then gone, no contact. This would drive me insane and I don't know how Monica had it in her heart to forgive him.
