This book was so funny and caring. It has a lot of hard love in it. Chelsea is as stubborn as they come and she doesn't let anyone in. When she realizes that the company's new tax attorney is also her ex-husband everything comes back. They were only married for a short time but that short time was everything to her. Will Dean go back to his old ways? Has he really changed? Does he want her back just for spite? She has all of these questions to answer while also trying to keep herself sane.

“Listen, babe—”
She holds up her hand like a stop sign and for some reason, having her interrupt doesn’t bother me.
“Did you just babe me?” Her question is all sass.
“Sure did, sweetheart. Call ‘em like I see ‘em. Don’t pretend to be offended. We both know why you’re over here talking to me.”
Her face turns an adorable shade of pink. “First, stop with the nicknames. Second, are you for real? What the hell is wrong with you?”
“I don’t see any issue. You’re the one disrupting my quiet evening.”
“What the… I mean, seriously? I want to sit down and this is the only available spot. You honestly think I came over here to hit on you?”
Her ridiculous question doesn’t deserve a response. My glare matches hers as I silently explain my opinion on the matter. My expression must tell her everything she needs to know.
“Wow, you’re an asshole.”
“You’re the third woman to call me that tonight. Be careful, I might get a complex.”
“Aw, poor baby. I’d hate to dent your fragile ego,” she snips with a curl in her lip.
“There’s nothing fragile about me. Don’t worry. I’m hard and solid. Wanna feel?” I ask and pat my abs.
She nods to my hands. “No, thanks. I’d hate for you to rub off on me.”
“Does the grease under my nails bother you? Princess is afraid of getting a little dirty?”
“Do you get a rise out of being mean?”
I lean against the bar and cross my arms. “I don’t get many complaints. You’re not from around here, so I’ll fill you in—the ladies love me.”
“Pretty sure I saw Barbie McCleveage storm off after chatting with you. She didn’t look too satisfied.”
“Now who’s using nicknames? Jealous much?”
“Hardly,” she huffs.  
I smirk before checking out her rack, being extremely obvious about it. Pushing her buttons takes away the tension from earlier, replacing it with a surprising ease. Fighting with her is the most nonsexual fun I’ve had with a woman in a long time. Wonder how she’d react if I called her ma’am.
“All right, all right. You’ve broken me down. I was set on not having any company tonight, but for you, I’ll make an exception. If you insist on standing here, blabbing away, I’ve got far better uses for that luscious mouth. My place isn’t too far away,” I suggest while waggling my brows. My behavior is over the top, but what can I say? She’s bringing out the best in me.
Her lips part in shock. This stranger just stares at me, and I’m sure she’s about to turn away… or slap me. Either way, mission accomplished.
But this chick is full of surprises.




Review:
This story had a little bit of everything. It had the misunderstood bad boy. The innocent girl who just wanted to learn life. The mouthy friend. The friendship that shouldn't have happened. Trey tries to keep Raven at arms length. The more he pushes, the more she digs into his heart. These two have an odd friendship that turns into a little more. Trey will not allow his head to see what his heart does. He was very stubborn with the whole 'can't love' thing. He had convinced himself that love is bad. Raven just wants to be loved. And she thinks she is until she isn't. When they get on the same page, these two are explosive and loving.

I loved Rhett and AJ together. I love that this girl put her heart out there and tried to make him forget about his past. I loved that you felt the passion between these two. I loved that you were able to feel Rhett's compassion and the way that he has to grow. The story that we are given was real, it was heart, and it was amazing the way it all came together. 


C.A. Harms is like any other addicted reader. She enjoys happy endings and HEA love stories. She hasn't always been a lover of Romance and had once been addicted to a good Mystery. Just recently she has taken on a new liking and now is a full blown Romance novel addict.

Review:

We are back in the game with Cold Fury. Their team keeps evolving and we are meeting new members as Gray signs them. We met Marek in Reed's book. They are tight and by the end we knew he had made his way back home to stop a wedding. A wedding he was very upset about and more so when he finds out he has a daughter.
Gracen was left. She was hurt. She knew Marek left to be a single carefree guy, why would she bother him with a child? I saw her reasoning and truth be told I would have probably done the same. When she is drug back to North Carolina with him, her life is chaos. Marek doesn't know how to express his feelings, all they do is argue or ignore each other. All this with a 3 year old, Lilly was the highlight of the book. She was a joy to both her parents. I didn't feel the connection with these two that I do with my Cold Fury peeps but it was a very well told and emotional story.
Another highlight, of course, was a party for the team that featured some of our favorites. Update my favorite player ever in a sports series, Zack, has a new baby that we are introduced to. All in all it was awesome and sweet and Sawyer is a great author. I really hope there is another one coming.

Review:
This story stole my heart. Kathleen is raising her 3 year old in her hometown when tragedy strikes. Soon her teenage crush is back in town to take care of his brother. Nash went from a hard man with a troubled past to a softy. I loved watching his transformation. With the help of Kathleen, he is raising a 4 month old, holding down the family business, and opening his heart. I loved how these two thought they were fooling themselves when their hearts really knew what was going on. The love that is held between these will make your heart squeeze  tight for the ride.
We told each other there were no strings attached, no expectations. 

We lied. 

And the consequences will cost us. 
But no matter what’s at stake I have no intention of giving up on this family. 
Because in this life we might only have once chance to get it right...
