Title: Where the Night Ends
Author: Melissa Toppen
Genre: Coming to Age Romance
Release Date: July 18, 2017

Hot Books and Sassy Girls Book Blog - “Where the night ends, will leave you emotional and breathless. This one gives you hope for true love and the author did a great job in capturing the emotions of true love.”
My Time Out Book Blog - “I've never experienced so many emotions while reading a book. But at the same time brings back so many memories.”
Book Haven Book Blog - “Completely phenomenal!! This book filled me with nostalgia for the power and longevity of a first time love, and literally brought me to my knees at 3am in a puddled mess on the floor when it was all over because I lost an entire day with Sebastian and Tessa.”

It only takes one night—one moment, one small snippet of time—to change everything. At sixteen-years-old, Sebastian Baxter taught me that. He taught me a lot of things.
He never had to work for my heart. In some unexplainable way I think it had always belonged to him anyway.

We spent years loving each other, hurting each other, trying to forget each other, but no matter how hard I tried, I could never erase the memory of him. His eyes, his smile, his touch—these are all things that are embedded in my brain, tattooed on my skin, and etched into my heart.

Some might think our love story is over, but deep down I know it’s only just beginning.

Because it’s not about where the night begins, it’s about where it ends…

Where the Night Ends is a standalone, coming of age, romance.

Review:
Wow. I was just wowed. This story took us through so much heartache. We meet Tess, 15 years old, and just learning about relationships. Sebastian is the all star football player. He is unhappy with life yet Tess shines a little light. They are instantly stuck to each other's hip. Sebastian would not let her have a moment he wasn't around. It took me right back to high school myself. That boy that grabs your heart and you know he will break it but you just don't want to believe it. I kept waiting for Sebastian to screw up, with the reputation and all. Yet he was perfect.

They have to make hard decisions. I will give Melissa a lot of credit, she allowed these two to find themselves. No one gave up anything or had resentment so that the other could go forward. It was selfish yet mature. It was heartbreaking while peaceful. I was thankful Tess was able to go to her college without feeling like she gave anything up. I am thankful that these two were able to grow up and realize that was happened needed to for themselves.

Sebastian though, he finally has enough, these two are close to mid 20's and still the timing just isn't right. He doesn't care, he comes running for His Girl. I loved the emotion felt in this book. I loved that you felt that heart tug. I loved that it felt real, nothing crazy happened, real life happened. There were areas that I would shake my head remembering my teenage years and decisions that had to made.

This was my first read and it will not be my last.

OSG_FrontCover

About On Solid Ground: June 5, 2008 I made a mistake of epic proportions. Moving home was an easy choice because I knew that I had to make things right. I had hoped to win back Harley’s friendship, but I never imagined that I’d win her heart … or the heart of her son. Now that I have, I’m never letting them go. They’re my life, the reason I breathe. We’ve worked hard to get where we are, and we’re finally standing on solid ground. Or so I thought … *** Tyson’s ex-fiancĂ© wasn’t supposed to move back to St. Louis … that wasn’t part of the plan. And she sure as hell wasn’t supposed to start working with him. I trust him—at least I think I do—but when secrets are being kept and things start to unravel, I’m left wondering if I made a mistake. I allowed myself to fall in love with the only man to ever break my heart. And now I’m afraid he might break it again … This is a Harley and Tyson Touch of Fate Novella and can be read after book #1 or book #2 but should not be read as a standalone.

K.L. Grayson
resides in a small town outside of St. Louis, MO. She is entertained daily by her extraordinary husband, who will forever inspire every good quality she writes in a man. Her entire life rests in the palms of six dirty little hands, and when the day is over and those pint-sized cherubs have been washed and tucked into bed, you can find her typing away furiously on her computer. She has a love for alpha-males, brownies, reading, tattoos, sunglasses, and happy endings…and not particularly in that order.

I Bought Myself a Book...

This past week I bought myself a book, a grown up book. A book without pictures or ryhming words. A book without lessons on being nice, how do to something, to say please and thank you. This book was a huge recommendation on Pinterest.com. I read up on the reviews and decided that yes I can buy myself a book and darn it I WILL read it. It worked out great because I had just enough Amazon points that the book only cost a few dollars. So a present for me at a low cost.

So I have had the book 'Fall of Giants: Book One of the Century Trilogy' for 4 days now. I opened it once, read through the long list of characters and closed it. I have yet to open it again. This book is over 1000 pages, I am excited to read it. But to find the time is the trick.

I carried it to work with me one day, thought I would read it on my lunch break. Wasnt that a joke in the making? I usually eat through my lunch at my desk especially on busy days. So I carried the heavy 2.5 lb book to work and back home without even taking it out of my bag. Right now its in my nightstand. There's where it will stay until I get to read it.

Tonight I did read a few books with Ava. I got to ryhme with her, count, and sing the ABC's. There will come a time I guess that she won't enjoy reading with me and then I will read my own books. I just hope that at that time that 'Fall of Giants' isnt still unread in my nightstand waiting on me.
