Review:

Lili was given the hard shaft of life, dead mother, alcoholic father and a life of being the 'it' girl for bullies. She feels like nothing matters but if she can raise this baby, maybe something will.

Denim is a powerful man, owning businesses and helping people on their feet. When he meets Lili, something triggers in him. He gives her his number to call if she would need anything considering the location in which they meet.

Lili has a run in with her dad and decides she needs to get away so she takes a chance calling Denim. Over the course of their relationship, she is given clothes, a job, and security to continue life. Denim does everything in his power for her to be happy.

His manner with her was so adorable, soft, sweet, but when it came to his business he was hard, rough as he needed to be.

This one kept me in intrigued until the end and I would still like more from this couple. I have so many questions that even the epilogue did not answer.

Tee Smith released her debut novel Collecting Scars in 2016. She always wanted to write professionally, but as it does, life got in the way and she only took up writing novels after she turned 40.
Tee lives on a small farm in Western Australia, with a host of animals, including two donkeys. As well as writing, she is also a nurse, wife and mother to four teenagers.
