Change. It’s change and how well you handle it which defines a person.
Three times in my life, I have been faced with such changes. Once when I was fourteen. Again, at eighteen. And now again at twenty-eight.
Twice, she was there.
Ten years ago, I gave up everything, including her. At the time, it was the right thing to do, for both our sakes. Walking away from her isn’t what I wanted, it’s what had to be done.
Now, she’s here. People like me don’t always get second chances, this happens to be mine. That’s if she’ll have me. If she’ll accept why I left and the fact, she’ll always be second.
You see, I have a secret. It could change everything when she learns the truth. She may be the one walking away this time.
We’re about to find out.

“This is an intense, well written, storyline, about second chances, overcoming obstacles, hurt, forgiveness, and most of all love.” ~Wendy’s Book Blog

Review::
I want to go on record that 5 stars is not enough for this book!

Man, these two got my heart. When the book first began and Brannon is messing around with Ava, I was like crap she is such a brat please don't let it be her. He begins college meeting Torrie and I began rooting all over. These two were very cute together, the banter, the easy flow of conversation. Brannon was happy.

Torrie's father is a straight up rich douche that believes he can have power over everything. He lies, cheats, and pays his way though life. He completely screws Torrie without her even knowing it. Crappy parents always make me mad and want to through my kindle.

Brannon does what any man would do. He leaves to take care of his family. Although the whole no communication thing between these two was like wow. You have to consider the age, 18 and 19 year olds really dont know how to do a relationship when it gets heavy but man, you think he would have called and said 'hey this happened please dont hate me' I would bet money she would have listened, cared, and helped.

When they are pushed together ten years later Torrie is a stronger woman, independent and still trying to get her father's acceptance. Brannon was grown into a man and better than ever.

This is my first read from Leaona and she did a great job explaining the scenes, had really strong secondary characters that I fell in love with, and gave us a heart felt ending that had me not putting the book down until I was done.

Leaona, also known as Lea, lives with her husband, cat and two dogs near Myrtle Beach. She was born and raised in WV by her parents whom she adores before attending Marshall University. A small business owner and mother of three, she enjoys Carolina Panthers and Marshall University Football, reading, writing, gardening, crafts, NASCAR, TWD, hot rods, and surf fishing.
Leaona was inspired to write while she raised her family, never dreaming one day, she would be published. While loving all genres of books, Lea writes contemporary romance stories that are not your everyday love stories. Gritty and true to life, she draws from her life and loves to create her characters.
Leaona's debut novel will release June 7, 2016. Cherry Grove is the first in The Cove Series. She’s your everyday girl and lives to connect with her fans via social media. Leaona also doesn't mind dishing about her favorite authors and their books. Beach, life, and love.
