Read:: Pucked Off by Helena Hunting

This book was so much more than I would have thought based on Lance's regressions in the previous books. I would have never thought in a million years that his leading lady would be a small character from a previous book. We all were assuming the trainer would tame him and his wild ways. Who knew she was just as crazy as he believed he was.

Lance, he has a good heart, he just doesn't know how to work it correctly until Poppy uses her magical hands on him. It is wonderful what injuries do for our favorite men. Most of my favorite books involve a man meeting someone during an injury and its usually the best thing for them. Lance's past, downer, his family suck, and we get a way deeper reasoning of his foolish ways.

Poppy was everything Lance needed. She was sweet, caring, and she listened. She cared enough to listen and not act right away. I loved the chemistry with these two. I loved Helena's writing as usual, she always gets me so consumed I forget all my other duties until I get to the end.

*A Standalone novel*

I’m NHL defenseman Lance Romero, AKA Lance “Romance."

I’m notorious for parties and excess. I have the most penalty minutes in the league. I get into the most fights. I take the most hits. I’m a player on and off the ice. I’m the one women with no inhibitions want.

Not because I like the notoriety, but because I don’t know how to be any other way.

I have secrets. Ones I shared with the wrong person, and she used them against me. Sometimes she still does. I should cut ties. But she makes it difficult, because she’s the kind of bad I deserve.

At least that’s what I believed until someone from my past gets caught up in my present. She’s all the good things in this world. She lights up my dark.

I shouldn’t want her.

But I do.

I should leave her alone.

But I won’t.
