I really felt for Kat, I think she spent her 20s just waiting for Gabe to get his head on straight. Why else would no other guy be the guy for her? She is a catch, driven and loyal while a beauty. Gabe always knew he was a pawn to his family however he just didn't realize how far they would go for power until his father actually tried to harm his niece. These two go from not talking to back into bed together. There are lots of fumbles, but soon Gabe figures he out he has to make a decision. It has to be her or his family. He has to decide can he spend another night without her with him. It was read within hours and it was not put down until the last hug.
