THOMAS
Not too long ago my future was all mapped out.
Then two brutal swings of a steel bat wielded by a maniac wrecked my world.
The adrenaline high I used to get from pitching a perfect game is gone.
The major league dreams I counted on have vanished.
And the peace of mind I took for granted is shattered.
The thrills I seek out now are self-destructive.
I know this and I can’t stop.
What I didn’t expect is for my downward spiral to be interrupted by a shy beauty with a messy past.
Gracie and I very different.
And yet we’re tragically alike.
I can prove to her that we’re supposed to be together.
All she has to do is give me the chance.
And all I have to do is remember how to be the guy she thinks I am.

GRACIE
I’ve learned the hard way that one reckless mistake can topple your house of cards.
And I thought I was finished taking chances.
But Thomas Gentry made it clear he was on a mission to break my armor and guys like Thomas didn’t come along every day.
He was as charming as he was headstrong, as sexy as he was protective.
He put all the book heroes I’ve ever drooled over to shame.
Falling for Thomas was inevitable.
And I was his before I understood something important.
We both need to find a way to heal ourselves.
Otherwise we might ruin each other forever...

Review:
I absolutely loved Thomas's story. He deserved some good after the pain he went through to save Taylor. His demons were strong and I thought he might let them win but he proved me wrong. Gracie was exactly what he needed, she had been through a lot but slowly was working to make it all right again. These two were adorable and I loved seeing those boys take care of each other.

Excerpt

I searched for a way to explain the schism that was me.
The old Gracie and this Gracie.
“Thomas, there’s a wall that cuts right through my life. It’s like I was one person before Track and a different person after. I’m not explaining well so I know that probably doesn’t make any sense.”
He held up our joined hands. His was the right hand, his scarred hand.
“It makes complete sense.” There was a sad sympathy in his words. Our paths hadn’t been the same at all but he understood. Before his attack he’d been the all star athlete, leader of a charmed life, destined for greatness. He’d left college, abandoned his training. He was still trying to figure out where he stood, and where to go from here. We were different, but alike in an important way.
Transferring over into his lap felt like the most natural move in the world. He pulled me right in and when our mouths met this kiss was unlike the other ones we’d shared so far. The connection was sweeter, more familiar. We had not known each other long but we were not strangers. I liked him so much already. More than I should.
And the physical attraction between us was ferocious. When he touched me I felt like I’d been lit on fire. Like I’d been awakened.
We kissed and teased and it didn’t take long to escalate. I tugged his shirt up, reveling in the feel of his hard muscles beneath my palms. His hands went beneath my shirt, all the way up my back, and he groaned when he found only bare skin. We were both being aggressive, both of us trying to push the limits. He wanted me to move, to shift into a straddle, and I could feel him, hard and insistent, trying to reach me through slight layers of summer fabric. The elastic band in my hair was freed and Thomas sucked my neck hard, making me whimper and hope that he’d do more, take more.
Which he did.
He slipped his hands down the back of my shorts, into my panties. We moved together in torturous rhythm, grinding, teasing, mimicking the act we really wanted and couldn’t have yet.
I stifled a gasp and buried my face in his warm neck. “I want to do this.” My hips bucked and I rode him through our clothes. The need to seek relief was almost unbearable. “I really want to, Thomas. But we probably shouldn’t.”
“I know. We shouldn’t do this yet.” He groaned and arched one last time and I was nearly at the precipice, could almost feel how it would be to have him inside of me.
Mind blowing. Shattering. Fucking magnificent.
Thomas withdrew his hands from my shorts and braced them on my hips, holding me away just a little, just far enough so we could catch our breath and let the temptation ease for now….

A Calamity Falls Christmas Novella
Author: Erika Kelly
Genre: Small Town Romance
Release Date: September 17, 2020

Blurb

Can the handsome loner win the heart of the single mom? He's about to find out on their Vegas road trip.

Single mom Skylar James is absolutely not interested in the broody, inked artist who works in her brother’s motorcycle repair shop. She’s focused on her four-year-old son and her thriving business as an image consultant. But when he asks her to work her magic on his widowed mom, how can she say no? She’s in—even if it means a road trip with the man who can’t take a hint.

When Jinx Costello rolled into Calamity, Wyoming, he met the woman who owned him heart and soul. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to convince her about their destiny. She won’t even go on a date with him. But when he sees her in action with a client, he puts his own needs aside to ask for help with his mom.

Away from her family and business, Skylar finally lets down her guard and realizes why she’s been fighting Jinx so hard: she’s wildly attracted to him. Which makes it hard to uphold her vow not to date while her son’s little.

Jinx can’t believe the woman of his dreams is finally giving him a chance. But is she just letting loose on a Vegas road trip?
Because this is it for him. She’s it.

And now he just has to prove it to her.

Review:
I absolutely loved this story. Jinx is nothing like you would expect with that rough exterior but he is a total sweetie. He is gentle and kind. He has a huge heart that is being steamrolled by Skylar and she doesn't even know it. I loved the relationship between Jinx and her son. This story kept me reading until the end, there was no stopping.

Excerpt

Jinx had opened his heart to her, and it was time she did the same. “I’m ready.”
He looked confused. “For?”
“I’m done fighting my feelings for you. It was easy to push you away when it was nothing more than physical attraction. You’re gorgeous, and you’ve got a body to die for. Those things I could resist. But you’re the kindest, sweetest, most generous man I’ve ever known. And…” Tears burned.
“No, no more tears. I can’t take it.”
She shook her head. She needed to say this. “But you’re so good with my son.” She held his gaze, and emotion swelled so big and hard she couldn’t contain it. “I like you so much, Jinx, and I…” She got up on her toes, clasped a hand around his neck and drew his mouth down to hers. “I really want to kiss you.”
The first brush of lips sent sparks shooting through her. This big, hard muscled man was so gentle, his lips soft. He kissed her like she was a precious thing, like he wanted to savor this moment he’d waited so long for.
But she was too needy, too desperate for him. Licking into his mouth, she felt a shudder run through his body. When their tongues collided, the world burst into a shower of stars, and—Oh, my God—she’d never wanted anyone the way she wanted him. “You think your mom will mind if we leave without her?”
Grabbing her hand, he led her across the dance floor and whispered into his mom’s ear. She glanced to Skylar, looking concerned.
When he came back to her, she said, “What did you tell your mom?”
“I might’ve said I needed to get you to bed.”
“You what?” She nudged him. “You did not tell your mom we’re leaving to have sex.”
He grinned.
Jinx.”
Right there on the dance floor, he cupped her chin, forcing her to look him in the eyes. “Just so we’re clear, I get that you’re away from your son, you’re in Vegas, and you want to have some fun. But I don’t want an hour with you. I don’t want one night.”
“What do you want?”
“Everything.” His desire for her made her knees buckle. “I want everything with you.”

Release with Review:: Kane By Sawyer Bennett

Kane (Arizona Vengeance, Book #8)
Sawyer Bennett
Release Date: September 15, 2020

Synopsis:

Are you ready for Kane Bellan’s story?

I have a problem.

Potential problem?

I’m not really sure. Here’s the deal.

There’s this girl—isn’t that how it always starts?—and her name is Mollie. I like her. I mean really like her. I hope that doesn’t make me seem less manly than my professional hockey player persona implies. But here’s the issue—she’s my best friend. The one person I can count on for everything, who’s been there with me for all the moments, big and small.

When Mollie shows up at my door, travel weary and scared following an incident with an ex, my instinct to protect her goes into overdrive. It’s then that I know she’s more than just my best friend and the skates are swept out from under me when I find out she feels the same way.

Our transition from friends to lovers to potentially something more is seamless, the Arizona Vengeance is back on the ice looking for a repeat championship, and my life has never been better. Just when I think I’ve got it all figured out, the realities of us both having careers which keep us on the road put our blossoming relationship on ice.

It feels like the game just went into overtime and I’m on the verge of either the biggest win or most disappointing loss of my life. And losing is never an option.

Review:
I really enjoyed Kane's story. He is such a sweet guy and did everything in his power to take care of Mollie. Their bond is something for the record books and they are put to the test. As always I loved my hockey guys.

Release with Review:: Why Me? by Silva Hart

Title: Why Me? A Possessive High School Romance
Author: Silva Hart
Genre: Contemporary/NA/College Romance
Release Date: July 28, 2020
For fans of S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders, James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause, Jamie McGuire, and L.J. Shen, here is a fun, steamy teen romance about a raw bad boy boxer and the sassy, sparkly cheerleader who brings him to his knees (literally).
When popular Lexi Moore starts treating loner Jett Dixon as if he’s hers, it has him asking one question: why me?
Jett is an outcast, born on the wrong side of the Philadelphia tracks.
Violence is his way of life from an abusive homelife to fights with privileged bullies to the underground boxing matches at a local gym.
As with most women he meets, Lexi wanted him. She had him. Why can’t she leave it at that?
Now the swoony alpha male finds himself in the middle of a high school love triangle he never wanted.
Torn between a possessive rich girl who has everything and the tormented new girl who speaks to his soul.
Can one of them convince the grumpy hero to drop his guard and experience a deeper love than he ever knew existed, or will he fight love as he fights everything else?
With strong language, steamy scenes, family abuse, peer pressure, bullying, and situations of prejudice, this coming of age, inspirational romance gives all the angsty feelings of being a teen in our contemporary world. The first-person, male POV will have you laughing and crying, but ultimately cheering, as it unfolds the torrid relationship between a troubled outcast with a hard life and a popular golden girl with a perfect life.
A steamy standalone teen contemporary romance with HEA and ALL the feels!

Review:
Why me? Because she believed in him, that's why. Jett is just trying to get through high school. He spends all day everyday just surviving until the next. He has a crappy home life, deals with difficult school life, and now has a cheerleader who has attached herself to his side. I loved this story. Everything is Jett's POV and he really had to figure out life. He doesn't want Lexi. He has his eyes on another prize, yet this prize doesn't know what she wants. It kept me interested until the very end and that epilogue...yes you want to read this one.

Review:
I absolutely fell in love with Lincoln. His dynamic nature coupled with his loyalty just had me hooked. Indie was a little hard to love at first but she finally got it. These two together was a good match and I loved how our wonderful author tied it all together. These players are taking my heart piece by piece.

BLURB:

I’ve fallen victim to a heinous act. An act so vile, so downright dirty, that I’m not sure as a twenty-year-old man I'll ever recover. Brace yourself, because what I’m about to tell you might have you gasping in secondhand horror. Ready? Here it goes . . . I’ve recently become the pawn of a meddling mom. Yes . . . A MEDDLING MOM--who's been trying to set me up all summer. Now, I understand it’s not a crime for a mother to want her child to fall in love, but when she makes it her relentless MISSION, the heinous act should be classified as a misdemeanor at least. Of course, my mom, the evil matriarch in the devil’s leggings, made her final stab at finding a girl for me days before I went back to college. And I hate to admit it, but she saved a doozy for last. A titan in black skinny jeans. A boss of nonchalance. And a girl who would not only turn my life upside down, but do it while juggling a soccer ball, looking effortlessly gorgeous around campus, and is one hundred percent against relationships. Of any sort. Thanks, Mom.

PROLOGUE:

**LINCOLN**
I’ve fallen victim to a heinous act. An act so vile, so downright dirty, that I’m not sure . . . as a son, as a member of society, as a twenty-year-old man . . . I will ever recover. Ever. I see the concern in your eyes, your hand wandering up your chest to clutch the collar of your sensible cotton shirt, scared to find out the truth. Brace yourself against something sturdy, because what I’m about to tell you might just knock you back on your ass in horror. *Deep breaths, everyone* I’ve recently become the pawn of a meddling mom. Yup, you read that right. A MEDDLING mom. The bane of a son’s existence. I know what you’re wondering . . . what did she do? Make me pick up my socks during summer break? *Eye-rolling* *Woe is you* *Grow up* You grow up! Ehhh, that was a little harsh. But before you go and put your judgy face on, you need to know the difference between a nagging mom and a meddling mom. A nagging mom is one who storms into the living room while you’re trying to watch the series finale of Game of Thrones, complaining about the dishes in the sink you swore you’d take care of once you found out who took the throne. Nag, nag, nag—part of the daily routine of the person who birthed you, or in this case, one of two moms who adopted me. But a meddling mom, oh boy. They’re a fresh kind of hell wrapped up in high-waisted leggings and muted tunics. This isn’t some everyday mom who texts you GIFs of squirrels playing with a hula hoop. Nope, meddling moms have an agenda. An agenda that they believe benefits their children. But it really benefits them . . . and only them. In this case, my mom’s agenda: get Lincoln to fall in love. I understand it’s not a crime for a mother to want her child to fall in love, but let me tell you. When she makes it her mission when you’re home from college, it should be classified as a misdemeanor. That’s right, all freaking summer, my mom has made it her duty to set me up with girl after girl, all of whom she’s met in our hometown Kalamazoo, Michigan. I’d like to say I’m exaggerating that she made a list and set me up with every eligible girl—one by one—but I’m not. I saw the Excel spreadsheet on her computer. Girls who were highlighted in red were a no-go. Girls in green still had a fighting chance. Girls in yellow? Apparently, I had lukewarm interaction with them, but they showed promise. Why is she so desperate for me to fall head over heels? Can you believe she’s been spending time on the Internet, researching relationship statuses of major league baseball players? Well, she has. Too much time. And she said she didn’t want me to end up forty, about to retire, with nothing to say for my life other than that I was able to throw a ball off a mound. She also wants a girl to fawn over. When my mothers were adopting, Mom hoped for a girl, but Mama hoped for a boy. Don’t get me wrong, my mom loves me more than anything—hence the meddling and nagging—but she always wanted to do girly things with me, like have tea parties, get our toenails done, shit like that. Side note: I’ve done the pedicure thing with her, and it’s not that bad. But she wants a daughter, and apparently, a daughter-in-law is the next best thing. Which brings me back to my summer of “not love.” I wanted nothing to do with these girls and after my mom’s eighth attempt to set me up—yes, eight—I told her enough was enough. I was done. And thankfully she listened . . . until the last Saturday before I left for school. The evil matriarch in the devil’s leggings made her final stab at finding a girl for me. And I hate to admit it, but she saved a doozy for last. A fucking titan in black skinny jeans. A boss of nonchalance. And a girl who will not only turn my life upside down, but do it while juggling a soccer ball, looking effortlessly gorgeous, and is one hundred percent against relationships. Of any sort. Thanks, Mom. *Thumbs up* Your meddling has made me absolutely miserable.

Release with Review:: Behind the Plate by J. Sterling

The most anticipated J. Sterling release of the year is finally here! You've waited years to meet Jack Carter's son and the wait is over! Strap in and enjoy the ride.

Chance Carter is the son of local baseball legend, Jack Carter. Now in his junior year at Fullton State, Chance is facing challenges he never saw coming. Failing a class will stop his draft season short, making him ineligible to play and pushing his goal of professional baseball even further away.

In steps Danika, a mouthy tutor from New York, who only wants to help him pass his class... NOT get in his pants. But try telling that to Chance. He doesn't trust girls and he definitely doesn't trust his new tutor. A lifetime growing up as a Carter taught him that.

But Danika has issues of her own. After an incident that happened last year, she doesn't trust athletes and wants nothing to do with them. And Chance is no exception.

The fireworks explode as the two try to deny the chemistry between them and family secrets are revealed. Chance doesn't know how to give up on something he wants and he's decided he wants Danika. There's just one problem... she has a boyfriend she has no intention of breaking up with.

How can he have her when she belongs to someone else?

 Review:
These two were funny and were good together. The fact that she flipped him on his butt and changed his world. She had a boyfriend. Chance tried his hardest to respect that. When Chance brings Danika over to meet his parents for the sake of his grades, I knew his heart was invested. The time spent with his family is his favorite time. I really enjoyed the banter and how much they had to go through to get their real feelings to come out.
