I have been patiently waiting for this story to be told since Mrs. Reynolds gave us a sneak peek at the end of Wide Open Spaces. Our two main characters have known each other for years, considering their parents are best friends, they were pushed together a lot. When an unexpected emotion begins brewing between Denver and Bre, they are both a little confused and eager. The beginning of this book I cried, tears just ran down my face. How can a young woman be given to much sorrow. She lost her best friend, she gained another only to lose him a few years later.
Bre marries her best friend, is it for love, safety, or does she settle because he is comfortable? She doesn't like coming out of her shell and that is exactly what Denver pushes for when he decides he is done waiting for his turn. Denver is the ultimate Aurora alpha male. He shows us exactly how sweet and gentle he can be while also not taking no for an answer and getting his way with the woman of his dreams.
My emotions were high strung through the entire book. I wanted them to work it out, I wanted Bre to face her emotions, and I wanted Denver to be happy. Aurora gives us all of this and more with a really great epilogue that allows us to see these two down the road.
