Oh man, this one. This one had my heart on fire the whole book. Slade made my heart squeeze tight. He was so very sweet, innocent, and caring. Raised by his grandma, how else was he going to be? He shows compassion, love, and understanding. He just wants a family. He has never really been given that chance at life.
Austyn is just going to go to hang out. She wants her friend to spend time with her man so she is going to keep his friend occupied. Who knew that that friend would end up being the end all to her existence? Who knew that this friend would become so important to her that her views would change? The girl that has held off advances from many in her hometown has no backbone to Slade. She lets all her walls down.
These two will have you ready for a hug. You will wish you could hug both and make it all right. You will see two very young people grow and mature. You will see two people learn about love and life together. I loved this story. I loved their parents and the family support. I loved the development we get to see through out their teens.
