Review:

Bethany was stubborn, stick up her butt complicated. She was a hard egg to crack. She was rigid. She wanted to do her job and not be bothered with much outside of that. She had a system. I liked watching her transformation and she did slowly. CL took us through a process and I liked watching Bethany grow. She had a few demons that needed to come out and be worked through.
Aryn let a woman get the best of him and will be damned if it happens again. He has his little girl to focus on and life to live. He has a small circle of friends and he realizes includes Bethany. A woman he actually wants to get to know. The first woman since his horrible ex that peaks an interest.
It was a well played out story of hearts growing but still staying safe. The only real issue I had was that Aryn's wonderful little girl is 'going on four' 'almost four' however her speak and thought process is about 8 or more. I have read many books with children and this one just didn't get it for me. There were many scenes she acted and talked like a 'almost four year old' however there were more than not times that she sounded like an adult speaking.
I liked the group of friends and the protectiveness of the group. They really cared and took care of each other. This story held me to the very end and I loved that it all came together.
