Review:
Two of my favorite authors collide and boom, a great book. This book had everything you could want a little drama, two broken souls and a cute kid. Reagan is getting on her feet after 3 years of being lost. She believes she has healed herself. I cried with her. I read through the first few chapters wishing I could hug her. She gets to Chicago and her life begins. She is really mean to Drew. She does not let those walls be torn down easily. She makes people work their way into her life. She begins close with his cousin. She instantly connects with his son. She is loved by his mother. She fights with him like she's five.
Drew is scorn by his wife. He has a company to run. He loves his family. He only wants one thing from women because they do not have a place in his life. He loves his son with everything he has. He wants Reagan. He breaks a lot of rules with Reagan. His heart grows. His protective nature is alluring. His silly dad attitude will make your heart melt.
These two together, the chemistry almost blew up my kindle. I was turning and turning to see what would happen, would they make it, and what was going to come out of cute Dawson's mouth. The authors do a fabulous job giving Drew's son center stage at times during this book and your heart will be with him through his adventures. Reagan's connection with Dawson will help thaw both her and Drew's hearts while learning to love again.
I cannot wait to see what happens next with this small circle of friends.
