Emery Lawson was on the path to follow her dad’s footsteps. Going pro in surfing had always been the plan. The dream.
Until it wasn’t.
Now, at nineteen, everyone thinks Emery is done surfing and, aside from two of her best friends, no one knows the truth. Emery hasn’t stopped surfing. What was once her dream is now her little secret.
But if she wants to go pro, that secret is going to have to come out. Twenty-two-year-old Sebastian “Bash” Cleaton has worked hard to get to where he is. For eight years he’s never had a day off, never taken a vacation. He is the best in his sport for a reason. But the passion that once drove him to chase the waves is missing. And Bash—Bash is tired.
When he escapes for a recharge in a small beach town, he never expects to crash into a girl who introduces him to a new life.
Secrets, hardships, and relationships come out of this debut tale of starting over and never letting go of your dreams.

Review:
Just two people who want to make their own decisions. That's who me meet. Two people that are trying to figure out adulthood while also wanting to be kids. Its a hard balance and its a hard breakthrough. It can be harder when those around you believe you shouldn't be making decisions.

Emery is just out of high school, only spending a few semesters in college but she already knows this isn't the life for her. Its the life her parents want for her. She knows she belongs in the water. Will that happen? Not if her father has a say in it.

Bash just wants to be a normal 22 year old. He wants to party, live life, and have friends. How sad is it that he hasn't felt like he's living? How horrible is it that he doesn't have someone he can rely on? He figures this out and bolts. He wants a break. Just a simple break from life.

This break will be the most important break for Emery and Bash. They will discover themselves and each other. They will be immature together, love each other, and grow so much.

I loved the concept, the friends, and the story-line.
