Review:
Preston and Emma’s story is a complicated one. I love that we are taken on a journey of grief, pain, and sorrow only to find a way out of that circle to find joy, happiness, and life.
Preston experiences a very tragic teenage experience that stays with him throughout adulthood. He goes off to college, begins a band, and allows people in his life. He is in a small group of people. Emma is a part of the band and has a major love hard on for Preston but he doesn’t move forward to give her any chance with him.
These two are thrown back together in their late twenties when Preston needs to come home to take care of some business and Emma has been hired by Preston’s employer to take care of him. Preston tries to hold off, stay away from Emma. He even goes as far as acting like he doesn’t remember her. Emma keeps herself busy with work.
As they get closer to all the answers that Preston is looking for, the closer these two get. Falling in love was never on the agenda for Preston, but Emma is under his skin and he feels very protective of her. They work together to bring peace to Preston and his father. They work together to build their future. They become one together.
