JT is out in California, a whole country away from his family in Virginia. He misses them but has distanced himself so much he isnt sure how to repair the relationship. A waitress in a small diner gets his attention.
Paige is a single mom, trying to take care of her daughter. She hasn't had much experience with men and has kept to herself. She is pursued by JT and kinda doesn't get it first. She just plays it off as him wanting to take care of her daughter. JT loves that he is a position to help Paige and her daughter and that this gives him more time with Paige.
These two had a lot of learning to do with each other. JT also gets another chance to be close to his family, which I thought was a great way to end his story. He came full circle with life. Ending up at the same place he began. This allowed Paige a new start and her daughter to make friends with all those cousins.
