Jaxon has been with us since book one. He has not always been the best. He has some short comings. He turns that around slowly in the next book and in his own we get to see many different sides. Jaxon has a side to him that he only allows a few to see. Namely Bristol Thomas. The girl that grabs his attention quickly. He turns out to be a jack of all trades behind the kicker persona he gives everyone else. He keeps secrets from Bristol enjoying the fact that she has no clue who he is, what he does, but she gets to see the charmer side, the family side, and she gets to see the real man.
Bristol moves to North Carolina for a position with a huge company. This also means she is closer to her brother, who happens to be the new quarterback for the football team. She is new to the area and meets Jack one evening. Jack, (Jaxon), is someone she believes could keep her heart forever. Only she is told half of what Jack is all about. She is betrayed by only half truths. Jaxon is so scared to lose her that he is hesitate to tell her all about himself until her brother pops that cherry quickly.
The thing about half truths is that when the whole truth is revealed, someone gets hurt. In this case, two hearts are stretched thin. Jaxon's past ends up being a dangerous one but it also pulls them together.
I loved watching Jaxon become a mature young man, leaving the man whoring away and giving him hear to Bristol.
