First I would like to thank Kelly for choosing this blog to be one of many that got a first crack at this book. My heart was in it all the way. I was reading while cleaning, doing dishes, and basically ignoring all other humans until I completed it.
Holden and Emylie are high school sweethearts, bound to be together forever until Holden calls with a decision. He believes that this decision is the best for himself and Emylie. He finishes out college not returning home.
Emylie has held onto her sanity the best way she knows how. She has also fallen into bed with another. Five years later when she is just resolving to move on and tighten up that hole in heart left by Holden, he returns.
I felt every emotion running through her. I felt Holden's worry. I felt Emylie not being sure she will survive looking into his eyes. They really work and fight for that happily ever after. They have a lot to fight against and a lot to fight with. They team up to fight against those that think they shouldn't be together.
