Release with Review:: Unstable by S.E. Hall

After a tragedy at home, Henley flees. She is sent away and then just never comes back home. When her mother passes, she is forced to come home to settle the farm. She goes home feeling unnerved. She doesn’t how to face these demons that she believes follows her based on her sister’s death.
She has a past here, a former boyfriend that didn’t fight for her, a childhood friend who has been waiting on her return, and the little town. She is scared to face those talking about her past and her family. SE does a wonderful job describing her feelings, describing the emotions that are going through her.
Henley finds Gatlin at the farm waiting for her. He helps her get through her guilt of not returning home for years, he helps her justify that she now owes her mother the respect to continue farming. He is right there by her side through the big events.
Keaton is waiting on her. He has loved Henley since he was 10 years old. She wont got there because she believes her sister had claim on him. Keaton has to beat it in her head that he has always loved her.
This is a beautifully written story showing you that sometimes you just need a little help. Sometimes you find love in the last place you look. Sometimes you need to work through it your own way, whether Henley’s way is the right way or not, I am not sure but it worked for her.
The epilogue in Keaton’s point of view nailed this whole book. You read about his love, how proud he is of Henley, and their life together.

You can put up a front… but destiny already has your back

After eight years, Henley Calvert is headed home. Back to the family farm and small town she left behind, never to be thought of again.
Too much regret and shame to bear.
But she’s the only one left to see to her family’s legacy, so she must return to Ashfall and face all the ghosts that haunt her.
****
Gatlin Holt, the family farmhand, awaits her arrival, and lends a hand—in more ways than one. He reacquaints Henley with the lay of the land while helping her heal her soul with a new outlook on life.
Yet every time she thinks some peace may be within reach, Henley hits another roadblock. The biggest of which is Keaton Cash—her childhood nemesis who owns the farm next door.
****
And no, it’s not a love triangle. That’s impossible when Henley’s heart is closed, incapable of love.
