I loved this book. Ridge owns a construction company and meets up with a woman a bar that is going through a tough time. This woman and him have a connection but she is gone by morning. He has her at the back of his mind even while dating another woman.
Melissa has a huge surprise waiting for Ridge but she is unable to tell him about their bundle of joy before an accident delays her. This accident is close to Ridge's work so he actually is there. It was all emotional, heart breaking, and had my heart in my throat. When some tragedy hits, Ridge finds himself trying to figure out life.
Life hits Ridge hard but he works and tries to find a way to make it all work. He has a great support system with his family and buddies. Along comes Kendall in the baby's doctors office. She is a calm, she is a force, she is what this new family needs.
I loved the characters, I loved the reality of it, I loved that Kaylee put you in the book. I loved that you felt connected to the people you were reading about. I cared whether they would make it work, would Kendall love Knox, I cared about the friends support towards Ridge taking on a role of a family man. Kaylee has once again out done herself with her words. She is one of the best authors I have read and I continue to just sit and wait for more!
