I was first introduced to Stacey when I was able to get her book, Bender, for free and couldn't wait for the next one. This one took over a year to get here and then another six months for me to get to read it. I loved Turner and Annabelle's story. They have a lot in common and are together because of Turner's family.
It was an emotional read at some points but there was a lot of positive out of Turner. This man was all Annabelle needed to become whole.
I am hoping it doesn't take forever for the next brother to get his story, Stacey left us thinking about a lot going on at the end of this one.
Dr. Turner Brooks may be the professional brother, but he's also the adrenaline junkie. When he meets Annabelle, a girl scared to death of veering from the path she’s paved for herself, all he wants to do is push her out of that comfort zone.
Annabelle has already lost too much. She wants to stay focused on her new nursing job and away from unnecessary risks. Turner Brooks is exactly that – an unnecessary risk. Still, Turner tries to teach her that life is full of risks worth taking. As they grow closer and she begins to let go, the unexpected happens.
