This book was different than the others, it focused on a forbidden romance. Ben and Lizzy like each other, communicate via text, and then one night he goes through with the untouchable becoming touchable.
Lizzy falls hard for Ben but he keeps her at arms length for respect of the band and Mal when it all goes down. Soon she is tired, sick, and finds out why. It really made me mad that Ben was just like 'nope were not together but I can throw all this money at you'. Douche. That's what I thought.
He keeps partying, doesn't want tied down, but doesn't approve of her being friends with a guy that is obviously attracted to Lizzy. He wants her to stay locked up in a hotel room while he does what he chooses. He misses a huge chunk of her pregnancy by being stubborn. At the same time another band member is also experiencing a surprise pregnancy and Ben actually does go to him for advise.
I was glad it worked out for them, but most of the book I was mad at Ben and hoping Lizzy would just raise that baby by herself and move on. Watching someone continue to be placed on the back burner broke my heart.
Positive. With two little lines on a pregnancy test, everything in Lizzy Rollins' ordinary life is about to change forever. And all because of one big mistake in Vegas with Ben Nicholson, the irresistibly sexy bass player for Stage Dive. So what if Ben's the only man she's ever met who can make her feel completely safe, cherished, and out of control with desire at the same time? Lizzy knows the gorgeous rock star isn't looking for anything more permanent than a good time, no matter how much she wishes differently.
Ben knows Lizzy is off limits. Completely and utterly. She's his best friend's little sister now, and no matter how hot the chemistry is between them, no matter how sweet and sexy she is, he's not going to go there. But when Ben is forced to keep the one girl he's always had a weakness for out of trouble in Sin City, he quickly learns that what happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay there. Now he and Lizzie are connected in the deepest way possible...but will it lead to a connection of the heart?
