Read:: Snared: A Jaded Regret Novel (Jaded Regret #2) by L.L. Collins

What a freaking roller coaster!!! This book and this author NEW to me. I honestly can't remember why this book caught my attention, it could have just been a sponsored post while scrolling on facebook but I am so glad that I decided to one click.

Beau has had a terrible start, a childhood no child should be subjected to, and he is still fighting his demons. He is the drummer of a popular band, growing up in foster homes, the band does a lot of charity and out reach. One of the projects they help with leads him to April. I loved that he was attracted to her but didn't pounce on her right away, actually he went to the roof of the hotel and chilled on his own. He is so caught in his head with his depression and self mental abuse that he isn't into women, he would rather be alone than drag a women into his own mess. This author tackles some tough subjects with Beau and it had my heart beating fast, palms sweaty, and tears at some spots.

April is raised the complete opposite with her parents still married, money, college education, and she has such a big heart that Beau doesn't know what to do with it. I will give her this though, she fought and had to use everything inside of her to make it work with Beau.

This couple, my gracious, they may be in my top 10 of favorites, and I have read so many books I have no count at this point. But I love it when they have to work for it. I love it when there is meat to the relationship and just not the insta love. I love seeing a shy, backwards guy that wants to love but doesn't know how, there is no chip on his shoulder.

I will definitely be on the look out for more and actually I have looked at her other writings and want to read more. Her writing style, her story telling, her hard knock way of bringing characters to you and your heart is what I love.

BEAU has never known a good life, only the torment that lives inside his head every day. The only way to block out the darkness that shrouds him is through the rhythmic beat of his drums. Knowing what happens when he opens up to anyone, Beau buries his pain deep inside, keeping it all to himself.

APRIL has lived a life of wealth and privilege, full of love and support. Her only insight into what it's like to have a rough life is through her work with foster children. When she meets Beau, it starts as a challenge to get through to him but quickly turns into much more than either of them bargained for.

TOGETHER, they are mismatched, ill-fated, and COMBUSTIBLE. But when their connection is challenged by the collision of past, present, and future,
will they be snared by love...or circumstances?
