Read:: Undone: An Outside the Cage novella (Undisputed Series Book 3) by A.S. Teague

We met Sidney and Breccan in the first book in this series, Undisputed and I fell in love. A.S. completely surprised me with this little novella about the in between time from the first book and the second. A.S. develops these characters so well you want to be best friends with them. They are a good group.

In this little story, Sidney and Breccan go through life without Connor. They are fifteen months since his death and Sidney is still trying to figure out life. They are still checking items off of his bucket list.

Breccan plans a getaway for him and Sidney with a super sweet, made me cry surprise. He again made me cry when we get to read about a special gift he has for her. He had me crying again once their sweet little Olivia comes into the world. For this big MMA fighter with a short temper he is so caring, loving, and a true prince towards Sidney. It really is amazing what the right person in your life can do for you.

Sidney has a lot of struggles during this time frame but she copes. She finds a way to life without her adoring nephew. On this journey she finds herself again and again until she is given peace.

A.S. did a magical job of giving us the details we were wishing for when we read the 2nd book and they were already parents. I love when an author knows what her readers need and gives us that inside. Readers get attached to characters and story lines.

My Review of Undisputed

**This book is not intended to be read as a stand-alone. This is the continuation of Breccan and Sidney's story from Undisputed.**

After promising to complete the bucket list, we set off on the adventure of a life time. But, with every new excursion, a new set of problems arise.
We may be doing it for him, but we’re losing ourselves with each task completed. Can we keep our promises without ruining each other?

Coming April 4th

It wasn’t until Cameron that I knew what real darkness was…or that I’d crave it so much.

I’ve let the world weigh down on me; pull me under until nothing makes sense anymore. Maybe that’s how I let myself get into the mess I’m currently in? Maybe that’s how I’m in my current situation with a man I knew could save me from a fate worse than death. Even if being with Cameron, giving him the very part of me, the only part that’s worth anything—my body—might very well ruin me, I have to survive.

Drug lord. Crime Boss. Murderer. I should fear him, be horrified by what he wants from me, by who he is. But instead, I find myself wanting to please him, wanting to give myself over completely.

Because I know that gives me control over him.

Cameron Ashton reins over the gritty underworld, the danger and violence of depravity, from his throne. A pistol is his sword, and apathy is his second-in-command. I know he’s dangerous, know he’ll break me and not think twice. But he’s my only chance, the only way I’ll survive.

He’s possessive and controlling. And he does own me, every part of me. The darkness in him runs stronger, deeper than it ever had in me. Maybe we’re not so different? Maybe giving up my control to Cameron, giving him my very soul, makes me the powerful one?

Maybe, in the end, I’ll be the one who owns him.

Warning: This is a filthy, dark romance. There may be subject matter and triggers that are sensitive to some readers. In the end, this IS a romance, albeit a twisted one. If you’re looking for a story that gives you the warm and fuzzies, this is not the book for you.

Vaughn Johansson is the Nashville Assassins' star player. He's brash, cocky, and talented. And he isn't afraid to let anyone know it. He lives his life on his own terms, never forming romantic attachments, and only allowing his very closest to see his true, caring self.

Brie Soledad has the weight of the world on her shoulders. As the staff reporter for the Assassins, she balances a high-profile job and its heavy travel schedule with being the sole provider for her adult brother with Down syndrome. Sure, she'd like to find love. But who has time for that when there are bills to pay?

Brie has been the match to Vaughn's gasoline since the day she first held out her microphone to him. They strike sparks off each other, keeping their friends, the team, and the Assassins fans in stitches. Brie’s refusal to fawn over Vaughn sets his teeth on edge and his blood boiling. Especially in that body part...

Brie's been let down by love before, but she knows she deserves nothing less than real, forever love. Vaughn's past has left deep, hidden scars, and there are some secrets he cannot bear to reveal. My name is Toni Aleo and I’m a total dork.
I am a wife, mother of two and a bulldog, and also a hopeless romantic.
I am the biggest Shea Weber fan ever, and can be found during hockey season with my nose pressed against the Bridgestone Arena’s glass, watching my Nashville Predators play!
When my nose isn’t pressed against the glass, I enjoy going to my husband and son’s hockey games, my daughter’s dance competition, hanging with my best friends, taking pictures, scrapbooking, and reading the latest romance novel.
I have a slight Disney and Harry Potter obsession, I love things that sparkle, I love the color pink, I might have been a Disney Princess in a past life… probably Belle.
… and did I mention I love hockey?

Singe FOR WEB.jpg

Blurb
She was my nightmare. Every time I closed my eyes, I watched her fall into that inferno. Over and over, I failed to save her.
I hadn’t been able to reach her, and the guilt only burned hotter over time. Four years later, I was the unreachable one.
Heroes aren’t always saints. Sometimes, we’re nothing more than jaded sinners driven by sleepless nights and hearts full of darkness.
And then I met her. She was a dreamer who managed to soothe my scars and heal my wounds.
But, as the flames closed in around us, I feared I wasn’t the right man to save her. That is until I realized she was the one woman I’d burn the world down to protect.

SingeTeaserLana1.jpg Review::
Aly's writing continues to amaze me. The critical thinking that goes along with these characters, she is absolutely on it with her writing. She makes you think, wonderful, and feel.

We met Jude, seven years earlier in the prologue, he is a cop and trying to do the best he knows how. That prologue gutted me. I knew I was in for a wild ride but I could have never guessed what would happen with this story. Aly keeps you waiting until the end on how this will play out for Jude. Will his demons let him rest? I was rooting for it. The man is torturing himself and doesnt allow anyone to let him off the hook.

Rhion is living scared. No other way to describe it. She has locked herself away in her own space. Her reality is far different from others. She has isolated herself so that only a few are close to her. Although it seems the ones closest to her are the ones that will hurt her the most.

Rhion and Jude are two broken souls that heal, slowly very slowly but in the end, you get to see this beautiful couple learn together. Aly really puts you on edge and makes you open up your heart during this time. Do not pass this one up.

Read:: Embody by SE Hall

SE Hall has graced us with the presence of JT Kendrick. Love. Love. Love. This group of friends has etched a spot in my heart and now hearing their kid’s stories is really great. JT is a player to his friends, never going out with a girl more than once or twice. He cares deeply for his family and his group of friends (the Squad), and is now working at his father’s company while finishing school. He is partaking in meetings and making decisions.
Bellamy is friends with Brynn, JT’s little sister. A quiet, shy, nerd that would rather sit home with a book than go to a party. She is struck by how handsome JT is, but so is everyone, she tries to ignore it but ignoring JT is a hard feat.

JT is all Dane. In fact, he is more Dane now than Dane when he found Laney. JT is more forceful when making sure Bellamy knows that she is his. He makes sure she is taken care of before she can argue. He makes sure she knows that he isn’t going anywhere, that he wants only her. I loved their story. SE Hall definitely knows how to give us an alpha male who once finds his one goes hard.

I'm not "damaged." No horrible childhood or demons in my past I'm trying to outrun. In fact, my family is ideal — funny, supportive and filled with couples that all follow "our" golden rule:

Find her. Protect her. Love only her, with everything you are, every day, for the rest of your life.

So why is it the mere thought of a monogamous relationship, more than one night with the same woman, sends me bolting in the other direction?

Because I hadn't met Bellamy Morgan yet.

When I do cross paths with her, everything starts to slowly make sense. Why men change overnight — suddenly blind to all women but her, happy to hold her purse and watch corny movies.

Just one problem — she's my little sister's best friend.

Read:: For Finlay by J. Nathan

Ready for a lump to stay in your throat for a few hours? That is what you get with this one. Soooo Good. This is my first read from J. Nathan and with sports romance I know I will definitely be reading more. The emotion felt in this book is such a good intense feeling. You are rooting the whole time for a happily ever after and honestly you don't know whether you are going to get it. J. really knows how to have you turning page after page to get to the end. She really knows how to write.

Finlay, god bless her, a lost teenager, a confused girl, lost her heart. Her twin at that. Cole was her world until he got his own life, until the crowd couldn't wait to see which direction he would go in and used her to see if they could get the direction early. She was placed on the back burner in her mind when in actuality she was always his number one thought. Losing him, she lost herself. After a few years of soul searching, she moves to the university Cole had always planned to spend his college career.

Cade, starter QB for the team Cole would be on if he had made it to the first game. He is around Finlay a good bit, he gets hot and cold from her but he keeps pushing. Getting up early to run, they find they have a good bit in common. You'll meet a girl named Leslie, we hate her, you'll know why once you read, she's that girl. Thankfully Cade doesn't allow Leslie to ruin the vibes that he has for Finlay. Cade is a sweetie, he does everything he can to be with Finlay the right way, and he really is hard to be mad at.

The supporting characters and best friends are great. The team seems to all be working with the QB better by the end and college seems to be working for some. I am hoping that J gives us more of the glimpses she as already teased us with.

This review cannot do this book any justice, I loved it, I didn't want it to end, the epilogue was good but not enough. I want to know more about the adult life and what happens. Maybe in the next book we'll get some of them.

Finlay Thatcher is a lost soul, guilt-ridden after the death of her twin brother. When Alabama's football coach gives her the opportunity to work for him, she knows it's her chance to move on, even if it means living her brother's dream.

Caden Brooks is Alabama's star quarterback. He's got it all. The attention of adoring fans. A girlfriend who'd do anything to hold on to him. And a future in the pros. He's getting along just fine until Finlay steps into his life, despising him at first sight and pushing his buttons like no other.

Unfortunately for Finlay, and her attempt to keep Caden at arm's length, there's nothing Caden loves more than a challenge. The problem with this challenge is she comes with a secret that has the power to destroy everything.
