Release: The Trailblazer by Gina Azzi

 Release Date: November 11

I always knew I’d marry my first everything, Declan Yaeger, the Southern boy with Irish roots. That was before he became my first heartbreak, a NHL superstar with a playboy reputation I no longer recognize.

The summer he left our small, Tennessee town, to pursue his hockey dream is the summer my life changed. That was seven years ago, before he became a defenseman for the Boston Hawks. Before I became fixated on my career, losing pieces of myself along the way.

To protect my grandfather's legacy, I agree to marry my oldest childhood friend, Henry. But when I enter the Church on my wedding day, the grey eyes piercing mine aren’t my fiancรฉ’s.

They’re Declan’s, the last person I expect to show up with an offer of his own. One I can’t refuse even though my heart should know better than to accept.

Will my marriage to Declan heal the broken between us? Or are we destined to repeat the mistakes of our past?

Title: STRAYS
Author: Cora Brent
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: January 27, 2021

BLURB

A man like me isn’t cut out to be a dad.
And if this kid had another option I wouldn’t try to be one now.
But for once I’m going to step up.
I’ll right the worst of old wrongs.
I’ll pretend this last name of mine is something decent instead of a legacy of hard-core criminals.
I don’t know if I’ll ever be free of my sins.
I do know it wouldn't be wise to get close enough to find out.
Into this chaos walks Isabella Gentry.
She was warned to keep her distance from me.
I was the one who warned her.
She’s beautiful. She’s headstrong. She’s spoiled as hell.
And she’s my freaking roommate.
Half of me wants to turn her world upside down in the cruelest way imaginable.
The other half wants to worship the ground she walks on.
This can go one of two ways.
Either I’ll decide to be the worst version of myself.
Or I’ll surrender the past in order to build a future.
And maybe along the way I’ll prove something.
That the guy everyone loves to hate might be redeemable yet...

Review:
This has got to be the sweetest story ever!! Rafe is young and without a map for life. He doesnt have anyone to guide him. Rafe has the sweetest soul even though he tries to cover it up with being aloof and gruff. When push comes to shove he reaches out to his only family. Izzy is trying to make it on her own. She has the best parents and family but she feels like she needs to do something on her own. Although she really isnt on her own, getting a roommate out of the deal, she gets a few new friends. I loved the friendship that comes out of the living situation. I loved the small group of friends and how much they help each other. This was a really great story and my heart just burst with all the love that was in it.

EXCERPT

“What are you gonna do about it, Izzy? Throw your wine at me?”
She does. She throws her wine in my face. Or at least she tries to. The flick of her wrist comes up short when I rear back and the wine splashes on the floor, leaving her standing there with a stupid empty glass and a puzzled expression. That should have worked, her pretty eyes say. Why is this jackass not covered in my wine backwash?
There’s no effort required to pluck the glass out of her hand. I toss it in the sink, where it promptly shatters.
“Hey,” she complains. “That was Waterford crystal, you dick.”
I chuckle and close in, aware that I’m hard and getting harder. “That’s your whole problem, Isabella.”
Her eyes flash. Her lips pout. In another second she’ll be stamping her bare foot. “What the hell are you talking about?”
“This.” I run a hand low, over the shape of my cock. She can see the rigid outline through my shorts. I know she can. She sucks in a corner of her lower lip and jerks her head to force her eyes away.
“You’re disgusting.”
I chuckle. “You wish you thought so.”

TEASERS

Review:
This book was brilliant. I loved the lay out, we get to see this love story from the beginning. We get to see how they began. We also see them fall. We see the good, bad, and the very ugly. Jude is always protective of Lila, while also giving her a hard time. He, his cousin Brody, and Lila are thick as thieves, fight like family, compete, and learn. By the time I got to Part III my heart just couldn't take anymore sadness and although we didn't get much more, the hearts did mend. We meet an incredible little boy that is loved more than he will ever know. We meet a man that needed to be striped of all goodness to learn that life does go on. We meet a man who felt empty but with new beginnings he is able to grow. And we meet a woman, who faced all the bad still had a heart that needed to be loved and she eventually received her happily ever after, it just might have been the way she had dreamed of as a girl. I really enjoyed this book, I started after 9 pm and gladly finished after 3 am....exhausted but fulfilled that all was well with this group of kids.

Review: This was a quick sexy read that made me swoon. I loved being back with the boys and seeing how everyone was doing. I also loved that this romance wasn't done yet and just needed a little push. That push came in the form of a check that was not wanted. This check pushed Jill to contact her ex...the superstar and they finally talked. It was so good and I loved every minute of it.

Blurb:
If I can keep Hush Note’s leading guitarist, Nixon Winters, on the straight and narrow for the next six months, I’ll finally get my own band to manage—assuming we don’t kill each other first. The egotistical, irritating rock star is fresh out of rehab, but it’s obvious his demons followed him home—and now I’m sleeping down the hall. I’ve watched him self-destruct every summer, and with album deadlines and tour dates looming, I can’t let it happen again. My career is in his hands. But tattoos can’t cover every scar, and I’m starting to see through his trademark, irresistible charm to the damage beneath. Everyone wants the rock star. I’m falling for the man. If he doesn’t let me in, he’ll never break the cycle— And when these six months are up, I might be the one left broken.

Review:
This was such an emotion read. I couldn't put it down. I was most of the night to see if Nixon got his stuff together and if Zoe would get her big break. So many sweet moments, so many times that I thought he had changed, only to break my heart along with everyone else's. Nixon has been through a lot and every summer he relives his pain. This fall though, the company has decided, he needs to be tagged up with a helper. I loved Zoe's sass and how she handled Nixon, but do you really handle a bad boy or do you end up just being handled? It was a fun read along with jaw dropping emotional times.

The quiet one. Yep, that was me. The brother that rarely said anything and instead, stood back and observed. That is, until too much tequila and very little thought had me swinging my junk around in the middle of a crowded college party. Hell, I even wore tassels in areas tassels should never be placed. Let’s just say, the hashtag #dicksaswinging will follow me around forever. You may have heard it a time or two already.

In my defense, things like that happened all the time because I lived in more of a zoo than an actual fraternity house. It just never happened to me. Suffice to say, I learned my lesson.

Seeing Ruby amidst all the chaos was certainly unexpected and it stopped everything around me. The room suddenly went quiet and everyone else disappeared. She stood out—the timid way she worried her hands and the way she looked around, almost as if she was ready to run away.

As I got to know her, I realized she was nothing like the girls I normally dated. She was quiet, innocent, and sweet. She was the complete opposite of me and if I was a better man, I would walk away. But I’m not and I can’t.

And to think, all it took was Just One Glance and everything changed.

EXCERPT REVEAL:

“It’s the bathroom, you douche.” Again Eli did not look amused or forgiving.

“I was half asleep, and to my defense the bathroom door was unlocked. Who takes a shower and leaves a door unlocked? Especially around here!”

“So it’s Blake’s fault now.” Eli kicked his foot out and Corbin tried to scoot away. A grunt escaped him when he felt the kick.

That’s when the door came open and Blake walked out of the bathroom looking like Ralphie from Christmas Story. She wore a big pink fluffy onesie, leaving no part of her body uncovered. We all stopped and looked at her as she remained frozen in the now open bathroom doorway.

I had no doubt that Red bought her the atrocious outfit.

“Hey Ralphie,” the words were out before I could stop them and everyone around me laughed, except Eli. Oh, and Blake.

Review:
Jay and Ruby were cute together. I loved having all the guys and their ladies back along with the craziness of the house. Jay has a lot on his shoulders with his insensitive family but he is a sweet and thoughtful guy. Ruby needed a backbone and what she got was a Jay. They were just want each other needed at this point in their lives. I hope for much happiness for them and cannot wait for the next story from this wonderful author.

She lives in Illinois and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She holds an addiction for Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha’s and KitKat when she should really be focusing on water and maybe a fruit or two to make herself feel less guilty, but that feeling quickly passes...thankfully.

She is easy going, fun, and although she may seem like one of the quiet ones at first, you just wait until she gets to know you better...that quietness changes, fast.

Gracie and I very different.
And yet we’re tragically alike.
I can prove to her that we’re supposed to be together.
All she has to do is give me the chance.
And all I have to do is remember how to be the guy she thinks I am.

Review:
I absolutely loved Thomas's story. He deserved some good after the pain he went through to save Taylor. His demons were strong and I thought he might let them win but he proved me wrong. Gracie was exactly what he needed, she had been through a lot but slowly was working to make it all right again. These two were adorable and I loved seeing those boys take care of each other.

Excerpt

I searched for a way to explain the schism that was me.
The old Gracie and this Gracie.
“Thomas, there’s a wall that cuts right through my life. It’s like I was one person before Track and a different person after. I’m not explaining well so I know that probably doesn’t make any sense.”
He held up our joined hands. His was the right hand, his scarred hand.
“It makes complete sense.” There was a sad sympathy in his words. Our paths hadn’t been the same at all but he understood. Before his attack he’d been the all star athlete, leader of a charmed life, destined for greatness. He’d left college, abandoned his training. He was still trying to figure out where he stood, and where to go from here. We were different, but alike in an important way.
Transferring over into his lap felt like the most natural move in the world. He pulled me right in and when our mouths met this kiss was unlike the other ones we’d shared so far. The connection was sweeter, more familiar. We had not known each other long but we were not strangers. I liked him so much already. More than I should.
And the physical attraction between us was ferocious. When he touched me I felt like I’d been lit on fire. Like I’d been awakened.
We kissed and teased and it didn’t take long to escalate. I tugged his shirt up, reveling in the feel of his hard muscles beneath my palms. His hands went beneath my shirt, all the way up my back, and he groaned when he found only bare skin. We were both being aggressive, both of us trying to push the limits. He wanted me to move, to shift into a straddle, and I could feel him, hard and insistent, trying to reach me through slight layers of summer fabric. The elastic band in my hair was freed and Thomas sucked my neck hard, making me whimper and hope that he’d do more, take more.
Which he did.
He slipped his hands down the back of my shorts, into my panties. We moved together in torturous rhythm, grinding, teasing, mimicking the act we really wanted and couldn’t have yet.
I stifled a gasp and buried my face in his warm neck. “I want to do this.” My hips bucked and I rode him through our clothes. The need to seek relief was almost unbearable. “I really want to, Thomas. But we probably shouldn’t.”
“I know. We shouldn’t do this yet.” He groaned and arched one last time and I was nearly at the precipice, could almost feel how it would be to have him inside of me.
Mind blowing. Shattering. Fucking magnificent.
Thomas withdrew his hands from my shorts and braced them on my hips, holding me away just a little, just far enough so we could catch our breath and let the temptation ease for now….

A Calamity Falls Christmas Novella
Author: Erika Kelly
Genre: Small Town Romance
Release Date: September 17, 2020

Blurb

Can the handsome loner win the heart of the single mom? He's about to find out on their Vegas road trip.

Single mom Skylar James is absolutely not interested in the broody, inked artist who works in her brother’s motorcycle repair shop. She’s focused on her four-year-old son and her thriving business as an image consultant. But when he asks her to work her magic on his widowed mom, how can she say no? She’s in—even if it means a road trip with the man who can’t take a hint.

When Jinx Costello rolled into Calamity, Wyoming, he met the woman who owned him heart and soul. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to convince her about their destiny. She won’t even go on a date with him. But when he sees her in action with a client, he puts his own needs aside to ask for help with his mom.

Away from her family and business, Skylar finally lets down her guard and realizes why she’s been fighting Jinx so hard: she’s wildly attracted to him. Which makes it hard to uphold her vow not to date while her son’s little.

Jinx can’t believe the woman of his dreams is finally giving him a chance. But is she just letting loose on a Vegas road trip?
Because this is it for him. She’s it.

And now he just has to prove it to her.

Review:
I absolutely loved this story. Jinx is nothing like you would expect with that rough exterior but he is a total sweetie. He is gentle and kind. He has a huge heart that is being steamrolled by Skylar and she doesn't even know it. I loved the relationship between Jinx and her son. This story kept me reading until the end, there was no stopping.

Excerpt

Jinx had opened his heart to her, and it was time she did the same. “I’m ready.”
He looked confused. “For?”
“I’m done fighting my feelings for you. It was easy to push you away when it was nothing more than physical attraction. You’re gorgeous, and you’ve got a body to die for. Those things I could resist. But you’re the kindest, sweetest, most generous man I’ve ever known. And…” Tears burned.
“No, no more tears. I can’t take it.”
She shook her head. She needed to say this. “But you’re so good with my son.” She held his gaze, and emotion swelled so big and hard she couldn’t contain it. “I like you so much, Jinx, and I…” She got up on her toes, clasped a hand around his neck and drew his mouth down to hers. “I really want to kiss you.”
The first brush of lips sent sparks shooting through her. This big, hard muscled man was so gentle, his lips soft. He kissed her like she was a precious thing, like he wanted to savor this moment he’d waited so long for.
But she was too needy, too desperate for him. Licking into his mouth, she felt a shudder run through his body. When their tongues collided, the world burst into a shower of stars, and—Oh, my God—she’d never wanted anyone the way she wanted him. “You think your mom will mind if we leave without her?”
Grabbing her hand, he led her across the dance floor and whispered into his mom’s ear. She glanced to Skylar, looking concerned.
When he came back to her, she said, “What did you tell your mom?”
“I might’ve said I needed to get you to bed.”
“You what?” She nudged him. “You did not tell your mom we’re leaving to have sex.”
He grinned.
Jinx.”
Right there on the dance floor, he cupped her chin, forcing her to look him in the eyes. “Just so we’re clear, I get that you’re away from your son, you’re in Vegas, and you want to have some fun. But I don’t want an hour with you. I don’t want one night.”
“What do you want?”
“Everything.” His desire for her made her knees buckle. “I want everything with you.”
