A signature
on a piece of paper...
It binds
you to someone, or it can tear them away.
It broke my
heart to file the papers.
Gutted me
to sign them.
But this
isn't the life I envisioned.
Tired of
competing to be his number one priority,
I had to
walk away from the man I loved.
I needed to
be strong for our girls, for me.
Life goes
on.
People can
change.
Now he
wants a second chance.
But can I
forgive the man who threw it all away, and trust that he won’t do it
again?
Review:
I cried. I just had tears streaming down while reading the first few pages. I felt the pain of both Derek and Jillian. I actually related to their girls more than anyone. I personally have never went through the pain of Jillian but I felt it all in this book. I was, though, on the same end of her girls. The missing daddy, not understanding why you cant be with your parents at the same time anymore, wishing the family was whole. I will give it to Derek, he put his mind to it and he gave it everything he had, he worked hard to let Jillian know just how much he realized he had to change. The heart in this story will leave you spent by the end of the story. Samantha wholeheartedly will break your heart but then put it back together. I devoured this story and I cannot wait for more.
