Probably too intelligent for a jock like me, but that ’ s not going to stop me from shooting my shot. Not looking for anything mo re than a fling and concerned that she ’ s too old for me, Willa doesn ’ t want to venture into anything serious. I ’ m willing to put in the work and give her the space she needs to come to terms with the fact that the connection we have is far more than physic al. Willa and I are end game, but I ’ m willing to play into overtime if that ’ s what it takes to walk away with her by my side.
Review:
I loooooved this story. King is a sweetheart. Willa is trying to get on her life and here comes King. He decides that he is going to help coach a rec league hockey team with her. What starts out as two people hanging out turns into a sweet friendship. These two were so good together and even when Willa allowed all her insecurities to interrupt her heart, King shut it down. He tried anyways, eventually Willa does get with it and they returned to their regular relationship routine. I loved seeing all the couples again and reminded of how sweet this team is. Sawyer also gave us a little tease for a few of the players that I am hoping we see books for sooner than later.
